Hiss movie depends lot upon your belief; the biggest confrontation is being staged here between science and mythology. In the present era of scientific technology how would you take transformation of snake into the woman? Above all it is quite indigestible to see a woman romancing the deadly reptile. It brings more of disgusting feeling than the thrilling experience locating snake woman licking snake and making love with her.

movie has enacted this transformation of seductress female into venomous cobra and she is very much boastful of her portrayal as snake woman. She defines her character as of female superhero who tends to give tough competition to Hollywood’s superheroes Superman and Spiderman.
The city is haunted by lady cobra enacted by Mallika Sherawat who enters into the city in search of her partner. She tends to finish off entire human race as her partner is being hunted by an American who is in the pursuit of Naagmani for the treatment of his cancer. She appears to goddess to traumatized women on earth and rescues them. She is very dangerous as a person bitten by her begs for forgiveness but she eats her prey alive, much like an anaconda. The whole scenario upsets an investigating cop played by Irfan Khan who is confused over the mysterious killings in the city. Divya Dutta is playing his wife who is a social activist.

The movie Hiss boasts of unusual visual effects in the sequences of transformation of woman into snake but it generates nothing except disgusting feelings. Mallika Sherawat has hissed more than mouthing dialogues which may be acceptable. The screenplay falters at several places. The uneven editing makes the movie look un-assembled. The movie relies more on Mallika’a sexy transformations than her acting competence. It has got electrifying skin show by snake woman when she sheds her skin to come into snake’s one that definitely raises your hair in the name of thrilling experiences. Rest is the same old story said in several films on naagin.

So far as performances by ace actors are concerned Irfan Khan remained confused cop constantly; he does not know whether to believe science or myths. And he does not offer much of his caliber. His natural part could be seen when he share screen space with Divya Dutta as his wife.
